[Awards] RFID Yarn®: Overcomer for 5 Major Durability Test wins R&D 100 Awards in Process/Prototyping Category

RFID Yarn®: Overcomer for 5 Major Durability Test wins R&D 100 Awards in Process/Prototyping category. Congratulations to the team!
RFID Yarn®: Overcomer for 5 Major Durability Test, with the support of the Department of Industry Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs, developed an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) yarn that can be fully integrated into textiles with its characteristics of soft, flexible, waterproof, high-temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and pressure resistance. It is the first RFID yarn tag used in production management in the dyeing and finishing process. It has passed the acid and alkali resistance test. Its temperature tolerance ranges from minus 20 degrees to 135 degrees Celsius, and the washability is more than 30 times. Moreover, the RFID yarn can be completely hidden in the fabric without affecting the wearing comfort. It is excellent for the textile industry as an automatic identification tool for clothing or production traceability.
The TTRI also promotes interdisciplinary cooperation between textile, electronics, and IT industries, facilitating the integration of upstream and downstream industrial chains. For example, the RFID yarn is applied to Chyang Sheng Dyeing & Finishing Co. Ltd.'s real-time intelligent factory management tracking system in the dyeing and finishing field. Meanwhile, the government R&D guidance resources are introduced to cooperate with the SAG -- Securitag Assembly Group Co., Ltd., establishing yarn-type RFID mass-production trial. Also, we work with InfoChamp Systems Corporation to build an RFID automatic identification platform. Moreover, we assisted Ruth Cleaning Technology to establish the test field verification of cleanroom suits washing. In the future, the RFID yarn can be applied to clothing. When consumers buy a cloth, they can trace the production history. When the cloth is discarded, the recycling industry can easily track, identify and classify the clothing, greatly improving textiles recycling. The production of RFID yarn tags drives the innovation of the domestic industry chain.
