The electrospun micro/nanometer scale fibers have a large ratio of surface to volume and controllable pore size, which can be used in filtration and separation fields. Especially in air pollution filtration, it has a good advantage in the removal of aerosol components particles. This technology can customize the equipment and the developed electrospinning nanofiber membrane as the base material for various industries.
The development of this technology is oriented toward the attainment of a solvent-free production process. Manufactured through electrospinning in an aqueous phase, the fiber membranes have nanoscale magnitude. The fiber structure and diameter can be adjusted to respond to different pollution sources. The membranes have high porosity and a high surface area ratio and thus quickly filter and intercept pollution.
